Sunlight Basin, WY – CANCELLED
Jul 31 @ 8:30 am – 3:30 pm

If you are planning to join Terry and others in Cody to do the Morrison Jeep trail on July 30th, consider staying over on the 31st and joining Lester and I. We plan on doing some exploring in the area known as the Sunlight Basin, starting about 17 miles south and west of Cody. This exploration would be an all day adventure, some of which only opens for the season on July 16th. This is an approximate 35 mile backcountry drive which requires 4-wheel drive for the last 20 miles. Expect to ford the Sunlight Creek a few times and to be in the Shoshone National Forest most of the day. As always start with a full tank of gas, bring lunch, water and snacks.

Also, please let us know if you plan to join us. We certainly hope some one does as this is a remote area we’ve never been in before and would like the company.
